Natural Gas

Natural Gas is a fossil fuel that can be found underground, it is produced when living organisms that have died sunk to bottoms of bodies of water, or under coal beds. The process of decomposing these dead matter releases the Natural Gas

The so-called Natural Gas can be collected through different sources like in deep wells and under great rock formations, large layers of rock trap the natural gas as it tries to escape to the surface. Although it may be hard to where it is located, the molecules of natural gas are found on small crevices and holes in these rock formations. The gas can be found by itself or as a byproduct of refining other oils.

While mainly gasses are mixed with other carbons like ethane, methane, and many others when it comes out of the ground, the gas goes through a process to remove these impurities, before Natural Gas is delivered to residential areas and businesses. The fact that natural gas is highly combustible and burns more cleanly than other energy sources is one factor that makes it one of the most highly demanded energy sources. There are five known types of Natural Gas namely, Deep Natural Gas, Shale, Tight Gas, Coalbed Methane and Methane Hydrates. Natural Gas is commonly used to heat residential houses, and also an important element in various productions in industrial communities

Gas in the Stocks

Prices natural gas in the market is in constant change, this is due to new information and adjustments that are being made in the market. Natural Gas (NG in stocks) can be volatile in the market the spike in prices, with that being said, some of the factors that might affect the price of Natural gas in the market.
Since Qatar (3rd biggest producer of Natural Gas) is considered to be sitting in the biggest natural gas fields, this could greatly affect the production of Natural Gas. Qatar has the potential to emerge as one of the leaders in Natural Gas, holding almost 20% of the world’s natural gas just within its borders.
The continued turmoil in the Middle East may can also affect Natural Gas as it it endangers the transportation of such a highly combustive matter.

Natural gas production of texas, the largest natural gas-producing state in the U.S., was noted at a 79.1 billion cubic feet per day (cf/d) last march which was 1.0 billion cf/d lower than their record high.
